Happy New Year, 2015!

Welp, it's time for a new year. I'm looking forward to 2015, mostly because I don't like the number 4 and writing 2014 was getting old. I like 5 better. So 2015 will be better.

This year was the first year I really did anything for NYE. If you can call what we did anything. Usually we just sit in front of the TV and take naps until midnight, then go woohoo Happy New Year and go to bed. Instead Hubby and I had our other couple-friends come over with their babies and we hung out. The guys made a store run to get food. We lit a log in the fireplace and put on a few movies. We had some chips and salsa, someone almost caught their tamales on fire in the steamer (mmm the smell of burnt corn husks hahaha), and the guys got the swamp cooler vent all covered so we don't have anymore cold air blowing in and hot air sucked out, yay!

love making use of the real fireplace

We made it to midnight alright, and watched the live musical performances after on TV and made fun of them, only after hubby put on the wrong channel and we watched an entire segment on butt augmentations (really, who wants to be able to have such a big butt-shelf that they can set a drink on it?). He fell asleep on the couch around 1 am. I think everyone was getting tired but everything seemed funnier than usual. Like when our friend started to tickling Hubby's face with our long feathery cat toy. I was laughing so hard and trying to hold it in, I was fighting back farts. No joke.

Overall I think we had a good time. It's nice to have friends over. We also got our wall heater lit so we enjoyed the heat that was pumping out. Better late than never.

Stay tuned over the next week I have some big plans I'd like to post and announce about New Year's Resolutions, having a healthier year, and our big New Year's Day feast I plan on cooking today! Let me know what ya'll did for New Years!
